They are currently recruiting for qualifiedAPU Assembly Technicians,specifically trained/certified GTCP 331-500, GTCP 131-9a or 9b, and or GTCP 331-200 or 250h APU Techniciansin Greensboro, NC. What Is In It For You Salary:$40,000 - $46,000 Position Type: Permanent - Full-time Benefits:Medical, Dental, 401K, Disability, Company-provided Life Insurance Requirements - Responsible for the assembly, testing, and travelers related to LRUs, components, parts, and tools.
- Secondary responsibilities include disassembly, cleaning, analytical inspection, rework schemes, painting, packaging, and other duties as assigned.
- Read and interpret maintenance manuals or other technical data to determine the feasibility and method to perform the assigned task.
- Replaces or repairs damaged or worn engine parts and component parts using general hand tools, special tools, pneumatic tools, and precision measuring equipment. Assembles components with the same tools and equipment.
- Maintains work areas and tools in a clean and organized manner and practices proper tool and FOD control.
- Accurately complete work orders, BOMs, and data inputs within the ERP system.
- Reads and understands Commercial, FAA, EASA, Repair Station, and ISO documentation and other related materials.
- Operates, maintains, and services specialized equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements: - High School Diploma/GED minimum.
- Experience in Honeywell 331 series APUs preferred.
- Technical school courses in auto or diesel mechanics or machinist classes are preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of mechanical experience is required, and you must have a strong aptitude for acquiring new mechanical skills and knowledge.
- Experience in turbine engine overhaul or engine component overhaul is required.
- FAA Airframe and/or Power Plant license or equivalent certification preferred but not required.
- Ability to use precision measuring equipment and hand tools appropriate to the assigned tasks.
- Ability to locate, read, and follow the technical data appropriate for the assigned task.
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English fluently.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
