Department: LCHC Medical Clinic Days and Shifts: Varied days and shifts as needed Description: Independently provide medical care for patients of all ages including obtaining patient histories, performing patient physical assessments, ordering, conducting and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing pharmacological agents and treatments, non-pharmacological therapies, and performing procedures within the scope of practice and expertise of an ARNP licensed in Iowa. Seeks collaboration with other health care providers as needed for quality patient care. This includes managing acute and chronic illness, as well as health promotion. Requirements Educational/Experience: Masters degree in nursing encompassing Family Nurse Practitioner education Licensed as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in the State of Iowa Maintain National Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (i.e., ANCC) Possess and maintain current Healthcare Provider BLS certification Eligible for and maintain federal DEA registration and state of Iowa controlled substances registration One year experience in health care clinic preferred, will accept highly functioning new graduates.
