AR Specialist Location: US-NY-Staten Island Email this job to a friend

Under the general direction of the Global Financial Controller, the A/R & A/P Specialist will primarily focus on reviewing high volume sales orders for billing and invoicing. They will collaborate with all areas of the business, which requires a great deal of collaboration with the Companys sales team. This position will require an agile mind set, ability to execute change quickly, and will work together with larger teams and possesses accurate data entry skills and an eye for detail. Requirements Responsibilities - Ensure accurate and timely invoicing to clients and follow up on any discrepancies or issues.
- Dropship invoicing to customers and entering vendor invoices.
- Work closely with other departments to resolve billing and payment issues.
- Reconcile vendor statements on a semi-monthly basis to better track invoicing to customers.
- Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly AR/AP reports to management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records in our accounting system.
- Assist with month-end close activities, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Oversee the payment processes including entering vendor invoices, coding of invoices and processing vendor payments.
- Reviews customer aging report proactively, performs reconciliation, determines appropriate actions based on account activity.
Qualifications - Associate Degree preferred
- Knowledge of general accounting principles
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in billing, invoicing, or Accounts Receivable
- Advanced level of MS Excel proficient to include VLOOKUP and pivot tables
- Experience with HEAVY VOLUME of invoicing
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Exhibits a professional attitude during all interactions
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Superior time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks to meet goals
