The position for the AWARE Project Manager will be available at East Central ISD for the 2023-2024 school year. POSITION FUNCTION/PURPOSE: The East Central AWARE Project Manager is responsible for overall project implementation and management of finances, reporting, monitoring, and evaluation of the project. The Project Manager acts as a liaison between ECISD and project partners, including SAMHSA administrators, Communities in Schools, and other stakeholders. This position will report to the Coordinator of Social & Emotional Development.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Oversees, ensures, and trains in the provision of project services to students. Supports data-driven decision-making, intervening and problem solving with project core team as necessary.
- Ensures effective and strategic implementation to achieve AWARE goals and objectives.
- Conducts monthly reviews to ensure accountability of activities and accurate, timely reporting.
- Oversee technical, operational, financial, and managerial aspects of project activities, including reporting, financial transactions, execution of project plans, and performance.
- Helps complete a comprehensive needs assessment of the target geographic catchment areas.
- Helps develop an implementation plan for a school-based mental health intervention system based on a three-tiered public health model.
- Participates in an advisory board for the project.
- Supports the development of a sustainability plan for the project in coordination with ECISD leadership.
- Establishes collaborative relationships with other key community stakeholders.
- Collects, tracks, manages, and provides required ECISD data to CIS-SA and the Evaluator.
- Contributes qualitative and quantitative information to inform all reports, including quarterly, annual and end-of-project progress reports.
- Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Please note, candidate and required documents will need to be approved by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration before hiring is approved.
Education/Certificate:Masters degree in public health, education, educational leadership, counseling, social work, psychology, other mental health field, public administration or a related field required.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Demonstrated experience with managing the implementation of direct services or programs related to school counseling, social work, professional counseling, or a closely related field.
Experience in design, implementation, management, coaching support, data analysis, and evaluation of multi-site projects.
Knowledge of the three-tiered model of public health related to mental health service delivery, and familiarity with multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) in school models.
Leadership experience facilitating major projects and producing deliverables related to AWARE goals with the proven ability to write technical reports, program documents, and presentations.
Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including school district staff and partner organizations.
Ability to facilitate group processes, train and provide technical assistance to school personnel.
Experience:
At least 2 years post-graduate work experience preferred
