This is a full-time, Direct Hire position in Tampa, Florida with a small but growing healthcare technology start-up company.

In this role, you will evaluate, setup, administer, monitor, troubleshoot, optimize, and manage cloud database solutions to meet business, software development & delivery needs. 

 

Responsible for implementing and managing company cloud database solutions with optimal architecture, performance, scalability, and high availability, as well as enforcing best practices in the database and overall data processing/reporting systems. You will own all day-to-day solutions, support, and changes regarding cloud databases.

REQUIREMENTS:

 

Bachelor’s degree and over 5 years of professional working experience with databases, with both database administration and operation experiences.

At least 5 years of experience with AWS database services in a cloud database administrator or data engineer role

Experienced in researching, selecting/migrating, and implementing the best appropriate database services/platform options.

Advanced relational SQL (RDBMS) and NoSQL databases working experience as well as multiple AWS database services and tools such as Amazon RDS, SQL Server, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, Aurora, and MySQL.

AWS data platforms and tools such as Amazon S3, Glacier, EMR, Glue ETL, Athena, QuickSight, SageMaker, Redshift.

Design and implement database solutions using tables, stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, and indexes.

Data warehousing and data lake architecture, data pipelines and data sets for reporting/analytic BI solutions.

Software development life cycle support of database, data, and analytic services.

Database maintenance, performance/health monitoring, design for HA and backup/recovery capability.

Database backup and recovery operation/automation.
