Job Summary: The Accountant II is responsible for performing various finance and accounting tasks, reconciliations, and analysis. This position will have job responsibilities related to Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and more. This role works collaboratively with the Finance/Accounting and Sales teams, and contributes to all aspects of the Finance/Accounting department.


Essential Job Functions/Duties:

  • Primarily supports the companys accounts receivable process, which includes but is not limited to reconciling provider commission statements, and identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • Compiles, analyzes, and documents business transactions; records general ledger entries (i.e. data entry)
  • Supports accounts payable processes and payment scheduling
  • Supports monthly close activities and financial reporting
  • Performs requisite audits and/or works on projects by running reports, performing analysis, and providing appropriate information and/or summaries as requested
  • Researches, analyzes and effectively communicates basic accounting issues and escalates appropriately
  • Applies appropriate accounting procedures for preparation of accounting records, research of transactions and reporting
  • Provides customer service and reporting to partners
  • Performs other related duties as required or requested


Requirements

Basic Qualifications (education and years of work experience in field/area):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience

Other Qualifications (knowledge, skills, abilities):

  • Proficiency with Excel
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver various tasks completely and accurately
  • Attention to detail
  • Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to learn systems/software quickly
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Sound troubleshooting skills and the capacity to resolve problems through critical thinking and analysis
  • A solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of public accounting experience
  • Prior experience or exposure to Salesforce
  • Prior experience with Quickbooks Online
