Service First Mortgage is currently hiring for an Accountant I.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Accountant 1 is responsible for preparing general journal entries and document processing. Duties may include:

• Completing wire transfers through warehouse loan funding, working with the closing teams to ensure accurate and timely daily funding of mortgage loans.
• Reconciling general ledger accounts, specifically appraisal fees owed to and due from respective parties.
• Scanning checks for bank deposit, data input, and validation into the general ledger.
• Perform duties related to accounts payable and check processing.
• Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting

Skills:

• Self-starter who can work and learn quickly, while maintaining a positive demeanor

• Strong written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences
• Ability to prioritize workload while having attention to detail, accuracy and speed
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with concentration in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with strict time and service level requirements
