Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records and financial statements to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. Inspect accounting systems for efficiency and effectiveness. Assist in computing taxes owed and preparing and reviewing payroll and tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax payments, and other tax requirements. Reconcile bank statements and invoice discrepancies. Confer with management about financial and regulatory matters. Inspect cash on hand, notes receivable and payable, and canceled checks to confirm records are accurate.
