Managing a client portfolio and developing close relationships with trustee groups and corporate clients;
Working within a team to provide pro-active strategic advice on a wide range of pension and benefit related issues;
Helping to develop Mercers overall service delivery in key growth areas;
Developing and strengthening the individuals consultancy skills and pensions industry & multinational client knowledge as part of an engaging and market leading team

We will rely on you for the following:

The role can be tailored to an individuals strengths and will facilitate the development of skills and experience over time, with a view to covering the following areas:
Provide strategic advice to a diverse range of trustees and employers.
Contribute to the development of new solutions.
Oversee the day to day management and development of important client relationships.
Manage the delivery of key client projects to deadlines and budgets.
Take a lead role at client meetings.
Develop technical actuarial solutions and assist in the production of actuarial valuations.
Develop in-depth knowledge of Mercers best ideas and solutions in order to provide valuable advice and communicate effectively with clients.
Liaise with colleagues across teams and business lines to achieve successful outcomes for clients.
Be responsible for the training and development of junior colleagues.
Help drive revenue growth through the development of existing solutions and the successful introduction of new solutions.
Deliver results against own personal and business targets.


What you will need to have:

Third level qualification with a strong academic track record.
Proven ability to deliver excellent client service and build strong working relationships with clients and colleagues.
Comfortable in a client facing role, with experience presenting and managing client meetings.
Strong project management skills.
Proven ability to manage simultaneous projects and to meet multiple deadlines.
An understanding of market developments, pension themes, and the key issues facing our clients.
Proactive and goal orientated.
Possess a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.


What makes you stand out:

Would suit a nearly/newly qualified actuary or someone with/working towards another relevant professional qualification.4+ years of relevant experience.
