UWorld is looking for an Advanced Placement Economics Content Author to join our growing organization. This experienced candidate will collaborate with a team of educators to write content for our web-based materials in high school AP Social Studies in areas that include Macroeconomics and Microeconomics, among others. Requirements

Minimum Education Required:

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Masters degree preferred

Minimum Experience Required:

  • 2+ years of Social Studies teaching or curriculum writing experience
  • Experience teaching least one of the following AP courses is required: Macroeconomics or Microeconomics
  • Experience teaching any of the following AP courses is a plus: Human Geography, World History, US History, or US Government
  • Strong knowledge of AP course frameworks

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to provide, receive, and respond to feedback in a constructive and positive manner
  • Effective problem-solving skills and acute attention to detail

  • Proven history of working independently while operating within a team environment
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and self-motivate to successfully meet deadlines
  • Adapt quickly to changes
  • Brainstorm and collaborate in a team setting
  • Proficient in MS Office/working knowledge of IT

Job Responsibilities:

This position will report to the Social Studies Curriculum Manager. The Content Author will create materials for UWorld social studies question banks, curriculum products, and participate in product development.

  • Write a wide variety of questions with comprehensive explanations
  • Develop simple and elegant images that visualize the written explanations
  • Play a key role in development, planning, and execution of curriculum projects
  • Provide revisions and constructive feedback on content written by other authors
  • Collaborate with management and work closely with other content experts to create questions and products as a team
  • Assists other content team members during peak periods of new content production to ensure that all deadlines are met
  • Manages time effectively while multi-tasking
