Reno Orthopedic Center (ROC) strives to transform musculoskeletal healthcare in the Northern Nevada region and we want you to join us as an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) so we can achieve our vision together.

OrthoNV, a subsidiary of ROC, focuses on providing orthopedic care for the people of rural communities in Northern Nevada. Providing access to quality care in rural areas is important to us and we have an exciting opportunity for you to contribute to that as well.

You would be crucial to our efforts to build our rural presence by providing orthopedic services to the people of the Fernley/Fallon area without them having to travel elsewhere to seek care. Whats in it for you?

  • You will be surrounded by others that care about you as a person and your success. We build relationships and connections that extend beyond our time at ROC. We mentor and teach each other and work to help each other with problems that arise.
  • You will have work/life balance; we encourage you to take care of whats important to you, while still accomplishing your tasks and caring for our patients.
  • You will be offered a competitive total rewards package, including salary, relocation assistance, benefits, retirement, life insurance, paid time off, paid holidays and an Employee Assistance Program.
  • You will train periodically with the regions best orthopedic specialists, across our 6 specialties and in the operating room.
  • You will receive professional development, certification reimbursement and reimbursement for continuing education to ensure you are getting what you want out of your time here.

What would you do as a rural Advanced Practice Provider?

  • Make diagnoses and decisions about management and treatment of patient conditions;
  • Perform diagnostic workups involved in performance and interpretation of common laboratory, radiological and other procedures;
  • Perform therapeutic routine procedures such as treating infections, suturing, wound care, managing simple conditions produced by infection or trauma, apply and remove casts, splints, Durable Medical Equipment (DME), initial evaluation of complex injuries;
  • Order, prescribe, dispense, and administer medication and orthopedic devices as may allowed by state legislation;
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality to minimize impacts to clinic staffing schedules;
  • Provide customer service and patient care, maintain confidentiality, and abide by HIPAA requirements.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school for Advanced Practice Providers (Physician Assistant Program or Nurse Practitioner Program);
  • Active Nevada professional license with no license restrictions (PA or NP) (or the ability to obtain one prior to employment with ROC);
