We have partnered with a large manufacturing company in the Windsor, CT area to provide them with an Aerospace Tech Data Administrator. Please review the below description and let us know if you are interested.

Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Aerospace Tech Data Administrator:

#1. Aerospace experience

#2. Bachelor degree in technical or scientific field.

The client is in search of a detail orientated technical professional with excellent written communication skills and high level of focus on process improvement. The Technical Data Administrator (TDA) will be responsible for establishing robust document maintenance processes; maintaining all current Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Maintenance and Repair Operations (MRO) documentation; managing the customer access to Commercial and Military Technical Data.

Responsibilities of the Aerospace Tech Data Administrator:

CHALLENGES:

The current processes and documentation are manual and very inefficient. The candidate will need to be able to create new solutions with our IT Group. A candidate with the right network/software experience could make a significant contribution to the overall effectiveness of the process within the site, and across the company.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to juggle multiple demands.
  • Compliance Mindset; Ensure compliance to internal procedures for document creation, review, and approval.
  • Process / Continuous Improvement; Initiate improvements to internal procedures that reduce lead time, utilize electronic/automated document management tools, and streamline the review and approval process.
  • Ability to read and understand technical information to ensure readability for internal customers, various FAA offices, and outside vendors.
  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Create and maintain an organized repository of documentation that fulfills FAA regulatory requirements.
    • Create ISO, FAA, and AS9100 compliant procedures for the efficient processing of documents from their creation through approval.
    • Track and report status of each document through its life cycle from the start of its writing to submission to the FAA and any subsequent approvals or revisions.
    • Ownership of document "quality":
      • Format
      • Use of standard language
      • Grammar
      • Readability for a technical, but not expert, audience
    • Assist with the completion of documents that utilize previously approved reports as templates.
    • Ensure timely submission of all documents to the proper FAA office.
    • Maintain current status of multiple document streams.
    • Create monthly reports for current document status.

    Requirements of the Aerospace Tech Data Administrator:

    • Aerospace Experience - REQUIRED
    • B.S. in a technical or scientific field
    • Demonstrated ability to organize and maintain large quantities of data and information.
    • Ability to produce convert technical and regulatory information into instructions and guidance for a layman audience.
