Overview: Train in the kitchen of French-trained Executive Pastry Chef and co-founder of District Doughnut, Chef Christine! Craft artisanal sweet treats with the best doughnut bakers in town! This team member will contribute to daily doughnut production and ensure that doughnuts are made accordingly to procedure and quality standard. Bakery Team Members will cross-train across all shifts in order to learn and understand full scope of daily doughnut production.


Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Read and follow recipes to accurately measure and mix ingredients to produce our delicious doughnuts.
  • Use weight measurement equipment accurately and consistently for the precise scaling of dough.
  • Responsible for the consistent rolling and cutting of all doughnuts.
  • Responsible for quality-checking dough formed and cut.
  • Consistently scale and prep of all fillings and toppings.
  • Fry and finish doughnuts with uniform consistency.
  • Box and prep daily doughnut orders to ship to all retail locations.
  • Box and prep special orders to ship to associated retail location.
  • Ensure the accuracy, quality and consistency of the products made.
  • Like all team members, you will also be responsible for kitchen and workspace cleanliness.


Schedule: This shift typically runs 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM or 2 PM-10 PM. Your actual schedule will depend on your availability, but this person should be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays (according to business demand).

Wage: $18/hr or commensurate with experience

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older and able to work in the US.
  • Must be able to lift, move, and handle equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position during an 8-10 hour shift.
  • Familiarity with food safety and basic sanitation protocols.
  • Previous bakery and/or kitchen production work experience is strongly preferred.
  • Should be clean, organized, and detail oriented.
  • Should be able to work well in a busy environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
  • A friendly, outgoing attitude, with eagerness to work in a fun, creative environment.
  • Dependable and ready to work at time of scheduled shift.
