Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Afterschool Mandarin Teacher to join our team at PS 166 Amazing Athletes After-School Program. As an Afterschool Mandarin Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate K-5 students in the beauty of the Mandarin language and culture. The position is per diem and pays $140 per session. This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals who are enthusiastic about teaching and have a strong commitment to creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Mandarin language and cultural activities to K-5 students in an afterschool setting.
- Develop and deliver age-appropriate lesson plans that make learning Mandarin fun and interactive.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel motivated to learn and explore.
- Incorporate various teaching techniques to accommodate different learning styles.
- Provide regular feedback to students and communicate progress to parents/guardians.
- Collaborate with the afterschool program team to ensure a seamless educational experience for all students.
Schedule: - Days: Friday
- Time: 2:40 PM - 5:40 PM ET
