*LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY* ONSITE WITH 20% TRAVEL

**Travel: Office is located in San Ramon. About 10% travel to Pioneer, CA, and Beegum, CA as the project moves into installation.

Technical expertise in electrical engineering and low voltage systems; experience wiring and testing electrical systems; hands-on with ability to solve problems independently.

The Electrical / Electronic engineer will be on a team developing a system to help monitor our extensive service territory of environmental risks. Under general supervision, this individual will apply their knowledge in electrical and electronic engineering concepts and practices to aid in designing and prototyping of an integrated sensor system, provide testing and evaluation, and documentation. Must possess an in-depth understanding of power electronics design principles, electrical wiring, and electrical schematics.
Qualifications
Minimum
BS in Engineering
Entry level with 0-2 years of experience in electronics or electrical engineering, including internship experience
Strong understanding of power electronics with ability to design, prototype, validate components, and technologies
Ability to read and create single line diagrams and electrical schematics
Willingness to work in the office daily and actively engage in hands-on work
Working experience with electrical test equipment, hand tools, and power tools
Ability to work independently; hands-on
Fast-paced, flexible, adaptable comfortable balancing competing priorities and timelines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Desired
Knowledge of networking hardware and protocols
Working knowledge of various industrial control systems, e.g., PLC, SCADA
PCB design and fabrication
Experience coding
Fluent with CAD software
Responsibilities
Understand user requirements
Understand system, subsystem, and component requirements
Learn and assess new technologies to support monitoring system
Design and build prototype systems by assembling circuits and components; analyze results; recommend changes and improvements in wiring, fabrication, and assembly; document solutions
Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues; identify root-cause and corrective actions
Develop, design, document, and execute test cases
Interface directly with external manufacturers and partners in development efforts
Verifies system performance and ensure operation of system
