The Application Developer Specialist I is part of PPGs IT Front Line S&T Color. You will serve our global customer base. PPGs Color IT team offers a variety of information technology solutions to assist in the application of our coatings products. You will be part of an industry-leading Information Technology team that is important to our business strategies and operating in our teamwork environment and you will report to IT Manager, IT Front Line S&T Color. You will work with diverse technologies ranging from cloud services to mobility and touch interfaces. This position is remote-friendly. Key Responsibilities - Help develop commercial software platforms ranging from unique color selection systems to comprehensive business management solutions.
- Provide technology consulting, analysis, and development for a variety of applications used by PPG customers worldwide.Work with global customers on a daily basis and ensures we exceed their expectations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive suite of software applications. Develop and support software applications based upon desktop, web and mobile platforms.
- Ensure PPG color software systems are developed in a way that complies with our architectural standards and established methodologies and practices.
- Translate requirements into an appropriate software design, the ability to define application scope and goals, and implement complete solutions
- Prioritize resources and tasks on specific projects and will monitor and report on the status of their specific project tasks.
Qualifications - A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline.
- Minumum of 7 years of industry experience
- NET Framework minimum 4 years of experience
- C# experience required
- SQL Server
- Entity Framework
- T-SQL syntax and best-practices
- HTML5 + JavaScript
