Role: Application Support Engineer with Scripting/Autosys exp

Location: Nashville, TN

Duration: Long Term Contract

Mandatory Skills Description:

  • 5+ years of experience, preferably in an Investment Bank or financial institution working for an L2 support team
  • Solid Linux / Unix skills
  • Good knowledge of PowerShell scripting or Python
  • Experience with Kafka or MQ/EMS technologies
  • Good working knowledge of Oracle/SQL server
  • Understanding of Cloud Technology, preferably Azure
  • Understanding of the ITIL Service Framework (Incident, Problem, Release and Event Management)
  • Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline and Tools)
  • Monitoring and measuring customer experience and KPIs
  • Service Transition Knowledge
  • Functional knowledge of Securities, Collateral, Derivatives, FXMM and regulatory reporting applications, client lifecycle management applications and technologies
  • Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible
  • A natural ability to solve complex issues and lead complex technical projects
  • Solid stakeholder management and relationship skills
  • A confident communicator that can explain complex technical issues to non-technical and senior stakeholder audience

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Understand Autosys or any other scheduling tool
  • Understanding of SRE concept
  • Experience with monitoring tools (AppDynamics or other)
