Molecular Instruments, Inc. ((link removed)) is a biotechnology startup pioneering programmable molecular technologies for multiplexed quantitative bioimaging. We are looking for talented, customer-oriented scientists to help grow our company and support our customer base using our state-of-the-art imaging reagents.

Job duties:

  • Develop expert-level knowledge of HCR technology, reagents, imaging, and sample preparation protocols
  • Communicate with and support customers to provide pre- and post-sales technical support and project support for our product offerings
  • Work closely with customers to support successful implementation of our products, assist with experimental design, application development, and troubleshooting
  • Analyze and document customer issues, provide recommendations to enhance customer experience and process improvements
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (R&D, operations, and commercial) to communicate customer trends, troubleshoot, and implement solutions in a timely manner
  • Respond promptly and professionally to incoming customer inquiries about our molecular products via email, chat, video, and phone
  • Experimental work on special projects for high stake customers may be required
  • Stay up-to-date on trends within the bioimaging industry and HCR imaging. Assist in the maintenance of technical resources including FAQs and product citation review
  • Help create a customer-focused bioimaging experience that our customers love
  • Contribute to the overall growth and mission of the company and its products

Requirements

Preferred educational and experimental background:

PhD in life sciences or a related field and 5+ year of wet lab experience with deep expertise in at least one of the following imaging applications: in situ hybridization (fluorescent and/or chromogenic), immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence. Experience with HCR imaging is highly desired. Experience with protocol and product development, automated tissue staining platforms (e.g., Leica BOND RX, Ventana DISOCVERY ULTRA), flow cytometry, blotting techniques, and quantitative analysis of experimental data is highly valued. Previous experience in a customer experience/support role is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

A successful applicant must be dedicated, responsible, detail-oriented, highly organized, proactive, efficient and capable of working closely and communicating with cross-functional teams. Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a high sense of urgency for resolving customer issues. Must have excellent communication and presentation skills. Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Benefits

We determine your level based on your experience, skill, education, and other bona fide factors. The salary will fall within $90,000 - $140,000. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
