Critical Key requirements

• A minimum of 5-10 years GIS Analyst/Specialist experience
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience of experience in managing and developing GIS data and applications utilizing ESRI Enterprise software suite including but not limited to (Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Desktop)
• A minimum 2-3 years working experience with Railroad business
• Familiarity with geoprocessing, Arcade and python, SQL

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with the creation, modification, and quality control of geospatial data for company wide use.
• Work with stakeholder departments in a collaborative manner to help develop efficient workflows resulting in as current as possible GIS Data.
  • Design and apply the appropriate geoprocessing method(s) to achieve the desired Geo-product including but not limited to:
    • Cartographic Production- Printable Maps
    • Map & Feature Services
    • Esri Portal Web-maps & Apps
    • Geoprocessing Scripts, Tools and Services
• Serve as technical expert supporting the development and maintenance of LIRR's ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise offerings through Portal and SDE
• Prepare presentations and reports summarizing, compiling, and analyzing GIS data
• Update, maintain components of LIRR Advanced Linear Referencing Network
• Integrate and interface ESRI with existing enterprise systems including but not limited to EAM HxGN
• Provides references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation
  • Train individuals in use of delivered products
• Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
• Develop and maintain technical and standard documentation for program development activity in a timely and high-quality manner
• Maintains system protocols by writing and updating procedures

QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

• Minimum 7-9 years as GIS Analyst with focus on creation and presentation of map-based analytics
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in use, management, development of:
  • ArcGIS Enterprise, ESRI GIS software (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, AGOL/Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Desktop
  • JavaScript, Python including ArcPy, Arcade
  • Data integration of ESRI GIS software with EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) systems
  • ESRI GIS software upgrades.
  • Esri Field Maps
  • Advanced Linear Referencing System (ALRS, Roads & Highways/ Pipeline)
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience designing and working within ESRI SDE design and management in support of functionality and interfaces to other systems
• Minimum of 2-3 years working knowledge in Railroad and/or Bus operation
• Minimum of 2-3 years hands-on experience with EAM (Enterprise Asset Management)
• Must be familiar with personal and SDE geodatabases, construct and manage linear referencing systems, data creating and editing, perform geoprocessing and other spatial analyses, cartographic production, and integrate GIS data with external databases.
• Ability to modify/adapt systems, applications, and programs to meet business requirements.
