BC Architects AIA, Inc. (BCA), a Coral Gables-based architecture and multi-disciplinary design firm, has an opening for an Architectural Project Manager.Our firm specializes in a variety of project types including multi-family, mixed-use and retail, with extensive experience in mid- and high-rise projects, from affordable to ultra-luxury.We are looking for a highly skilled individual with strong technical and design capabilities, experience with all phases of project development - from schematic design through construction administration - and a positive, professional, and cooperative working style.Responsibilities:
Responsible for overall project quality and execution, conveying and supporting the client's vision, goals and expectations for the project
Responsible for coordination of all administrative and technical aspects of the project efforts, ensuring the most efficient execution of assigned project(s) with the implementation of a consistent set of project management procedures
Actively manage project schedules and programs, project communications and documentation, project administrative tasks, and project team assignments to meet schedule targets, project goals and contractual obligations
Serve as primary liaison contact with clients, developing and managing positive client relationships while balancing their expectations within the context of the firms contractual obligations
Establish and maintain communication with all project participants: internal staff, consultants/engineers, contractors and governing agencies/jurisdictions, in an effective and collaborative manner
Provide oversight, support, and monitoring of the work of project team members and less experienced staff architects, including creating mark-ups, assigning and delegating work as well as personally (hands-on) work on the project(s)
Direct coordination with Director of Projects and Principal in Charge of ProductionThe ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications and technical skills:
Bachelors degree in Architecture or an equivalent combination of related education and experience
Minimum of 8 years experience in producing construction documents, four or more years experience in project management
Experience and expertise in producing/managing mid- and large-scale project including mixed-use, retail, and multi-family mid- and high-rise buildings in the United States
Advanced knowledge of Florida Building, Fire, and Accessibility Codes
Proficiency in Revit, experience in BIM a plus
Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
Ability to multi-task and handle more than one project at the time
Ability to lead production teams, as well as be a key member of a production team
Skill in coordination and management of design consultants (e.g., consulting engineers), throughout the various phases of project development
Capacity for analytical thinking, innovative problem-solving, and design creativity for projects in various stages of design, documentation, and construction
Experience in working within a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
Solid presentation and communication skills; ability to prepare and conduct client presentations and project meetings with clients, consultants, and team members
Strong English skills, both written and verbalSalary is commensurate with professional experience, educational background, and certifications/licensure.Benefits:
