Cleantec, a Central New York based facilities services company, seeks an exceptional Area Manager for Janitorial and Facility Services in the Ithaca and Southern Tier areas. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing operations and leading teams. Since 1975, Cleantec has maintained a reputation for delivering outstanding facility maintenance, janitorial, and special project services to Fortune 500 companies, banks, medical facilities, government agencies, and national retailers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day facility operation and project management.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships to ensure their requirements and needs are met.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and ongoing professional development of supervisors and front-line staff.
  • Ensure that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Adherence to operational budgets is crucial for meeting the financial obligations of the organization and ensuring compliance.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of service providers, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through quality service and effective resolution of complaints.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in facilities management, business, or a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing operations and leading teams.
  • Experience in supervising, mentoring, and training staff and teams.
  • Knowledge of safety and risk management techniques and principles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver results under pressure.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other business and project management software.
