Position: Area Sales Manager - Dairy Feed

No. of Positions: 2 Nos

Location: Pune, Maharashtra, India

Salary Budget: INR hidden_mobile - hidden_mobile

Compensation Details: Variables - 17.5%

Readiness to Travel: 100 %

Reporting Structure: 4-5 Direct Reportees.

Reports to - Regional Sales Manager

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Graduate in any discipline with 5 plus years experience in Dairy Feed Sales. Cattle / Dairy Feed Sales Experience Only
  • Must have dealer distribution experience
  • Strong experience of handling sales for a distribution model specifically in rural areas
  • Fluent in Marathi
  • Open to travelling to remote and rural areas
  • Candidates who are selling dairy products will be a fit only if they are into general trade sales.
  • Candidates who sell dairy products like ice cream, ghee etc to retail outlets (for example: D-Mart), HORECA channels (for example: Baskin Robbins) will not be a fit as that is not customer base.
  • Customers are farmers who can mainly afford only milk and ghee and who buy from the local market. They do not buy it from big retail outlets
  • Candidates with experience in selling to local cooperative bodies (like a milk association) will be a fit as they would have the experience of dealing in bulk sales and reasonably priced products which caters to farmers and low income groups

Job Purpose and Impact:

The Dairy Feed - Area Sales Manager will help build the strategy, sales teams and processes to achieve revenue targets for all sales teams. In this role, you will provide strategic vision and tactical direction while leading and overseeing all aspects of employees and represent the organization in promoting and selling products and services.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Direct and coordinate sales personnel in supervised area
  • Establish, control and evaluate sales goals
  • Evaluate, measure and handle the product and brand profit and loss
  • Supervise groups that divide sales performance into products or areas
  • Meet product volume and profit targets
  • Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance and disciplinary actions for your direct reports
  • You will also spend time completing the same tasks as employees on your team
  • Other duties as assigned
