Serving as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, to provide therapeutic intervention and activity services to adult, adolescent, and/or child patients under Bakersfield Behavioral Healthcare Hospital's care for emotional or substance abuse problems. Must have excellent communication, assessment, evaluation, and interpretation skills. Knowledge of psychiatric and addictive disease diagnoses and treatment; flexibility; teaching or training skills helpful; understanding of, or ability to understand, DSM V methodology.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor's Degree preferred in recreational therapy, music therapy, art therapy or related field. Minimum of 2 years experience in a healthcare, psychiatric care, and/or educational field. Inpatient psychiatric experience preferred.

Must have Art Therapy Certification.

Must be Covid vaccinated and boosted according to CA mandate.

wage range: $17.67/hr. - $22.99/hr.
