Job Overview:

Our Client seeks an Experienced Asphalt Sales Estimator to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating leads, following up on leads, preparing detailed cost estimates for asphalt projects, engaging with clients to determine project requirements, and working closely with the operations teams to ensure accurate and timely project delivery.

This position offers a base between $65- $75k annually with no cap on gross profit commission. An experienced Asphalt Salesperson should surpass $100,000 in their first full year if favorable market conditions continue on in Phoenix.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare detailed cost estimates for asphalt paving and related projects.
2. Engage with potential clients to gather project details and requirements.
3. Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work.
4. Coordinate with suppliers to obtain product pricing and availability.
5. Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to ensure project feasibility and accuracy.
6. Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather essential information.
7. Support the sales team in proposal presentations and client negotiations.
8. Continuously update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred but optional).
2. Previous experience in asphalt estimating or a related field.
3. Strong understanding of asphalt materials, equipment, and construction processes.
4. Proficient in using estimating by hand, using software and tools.
5. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
6. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
