Assistant Consultant, Electrical Engineer

Location: 1 E Pratt St, 3rd Floor, Baltimore, MD 21202

Salary: $74,214.40 with standard benefits.

Duties: Performing electrical engineering and design for transit, industrial, commercial, and institutional projects. Preparing design criteria documents, calculations, drawings, and specifications for electrical systems including power distribution, standby power, lighting, communications, fire alarm, security, and various other special systems. Developing costs estimates for electrical systems. Providing support during construction activities. Performing field survey to collect data for feasibility assessment report and conceptual design. Provide inter-disciplines design review.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related; 6 months of experience as Electrical Engineer, or related. *Internship or Research/Teaching Assistant experience accepted. Experience must include: Utilize AutoCAD and MicroStation to design, modify and review electrical circuit designs and 2D model drawings. Utilize Excel, Words, and PDF Editor to develop and record exams, purchase orders, teaching documents, and reports. Utilize MATLAB and SPICE to simulate, analyze and design the power system models and develop control algorithms.
