The Grenzy Recruiting Group is working closely with a local mid-sized company in the search for an assistant controller. The assistant controller will be primarily responsible for month end close and will report directly to the controller.

Duties include:

• General ledger maintenance; preparing and reviewing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and general analysis.


• Implementing policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP standards and tax regulations.


• Preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements.


• Assisting with annual close process.


• Researching accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).


• Assisting in annual budget process.


• Assisting in regulatory reporting.


• Other duties as assigned.

Candidates for the assistant controller position should have 5+ years of financial accounting experience, a bachelor's degree in finance and/or accounting, and the ability to effectively navigate multiple software platforms. A CPA designation is preferred, but not required.
