Assistant Controller- An Elkhart, IN division of an International Manufacturing Organization has an open position because of an internal promotion. This key role reports to the local Vice President of Finance and supervises the A/P and A/R staff members. Ideal Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance and a CPA, MBA, or CMA is a plus.

Prefers prior supervisory experience.

A minimum of three years general ledger experience in a manufacturing environment.

Prior experience with integrated ERP systems such as QAD and strong Microsoft skills.

Experience dealing with International currency is a plus.

Hands-on knowledge of internal controls.

Process Improvement work style.

Career oriented leader with willingness to consider moving to a different division down the road to the VP level.

Responsibilities:

Participate and direct the month-end close process.

Manage and mentor the A/P and A/R team.

Research and analyze GAAP and other accounting issues to ensure compliance with current standards and SOX.

Monthly account reconciliations and journal entries including payroll.

Review and maintain the standard cost system.

Approve and review customer credits, purchase requisitions and miscellaneous Financial transactions.

Assist with the annual budget process.

Special projects as needed.
