Role Summary: The Assistant Director of Residential Services with the support of the Director of Residential Services will oversee daily operations of 4-6 residential sites. They will be responsible for ensuring that high quality services are delivered to the people we support while providing a safe home environment, efficient operations, program quality, and compliance of OPWDD and Agency regulations.

Role Responsibilities: Provides general oversight to 4-6 group homes under OPWDD regulations. Additionally, supports (or handles, as needed) personnel-related issues/systems to include payroll, PTO, time management, performance evaluation, coaching and development, compliance, training, and retention. Ensures regulatory compliance and oversight as per OPWDD regulations and Agency Policy and Procedure to include Medisked, incident management, fire safety/evacuation plans & drills, Life Plans, financial reporting, and budgeting. Participates in quarterly reviews, investigations and State and Quality annual reviews. Maintains relationships with care managers, stakeholders, and families of the people we support. Acts as House Manager or DSP when vacancies occur. Provides on-call coverage during evening and weekend rotation. Attends agency meetings as required and reports on strategic goals for the program. Collaborates with other departments within the agency. Acts as a mentor and trainer for staff. Maintains professionalism while working in a fast-paced environment. Participates in staffing and scheduling as needed. Communicates and executes departmental initiatives to promote optimal care for the people we support.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in a Human Services or related field. 5+ years in a Supervisory role in an OPWDD setting. Current working knowledge of OPWDD regulations; applicable federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations. Proficient knowledge of MS Office applications Must be able to display a high level of professionalism and discretion and understand the sensitive nature of confidential employee information with superior emotional intelligence. Ability to be on-call 24/7 on a rotating basis.
