Assistant Director

The Assistant Director will:

Work along with the Director to accomplish various daily administrative tasks that meet and exceed MSDE and Office of Child Care requirements.

Provide a high-level customer service experience, and promote the practice throughout Kids Campus.

Support and maintain approved staffing patterns as required by OCC.

Obtain supporting documentation aiding in the MSDE Accreditation and Staff Credentialing process

Maintain up to date KC inventory and report to the Director at regular intervals.

Support the development and documentation of standardized procedures to optimize processes and increase efficiency throughout Kids Campus.

Research and promote all MSDE/OCC trainings opportunities for KC Team Members.

Supervise other KC Team members and help ensure KCs compliance with organizational and state regulations.

demonstrate a proven ability to lead in the classroom and through administrative responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

30 or more credits towards a Bachelors Degree (Unofficial/Official Transcript required)

Familiar with COMAR and Office of Child Care regulations

2+ years of managerial experience

Has strong communication skills, observation skills, problem-solving skills, and the ability to get along with children and families from diverse backgrounds.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Strong preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualification(s). Include clear and specific information on your resume regarding all qualifications.

30 or more credits for a Bachelors Degree or Bachelors in Early Childhood Education or;

6 semesters/90 clock hours or the equivalent of approved infant-toddler and/or school-age coursework (45 hours child development and 45 hours curriculum planning)

Maryland Child Care Credential at level 4 or higher

2+ years experience at an accredited child care center or school.
