The Assistant Engineer will assist and support production engineering staff while discovering niche specialty preferences within the Civil Engineering career path. The duties detailed below represent examples of work which may be assigned at this entry level.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

General

• Acquires knowledge and develops basic skills in civil engineering practices.
• Applies prescribed techniques and procedures in accordance with established criteria to perform assigned tasks.
• Performs routine technical work which does not require previous experience.
• Acquires an understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
• Exercises limited judgment on details of work and in applications of standard methods for conventional work.
• Collects data and gathers information.
• Performs standard computations and analysis.
• Prepares drawings and graphics utilizing AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• Receives close supervision on all aspects of assignments.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, LICENSURE, OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Entry level position. Engineer in Training (EIT) or ability to take exam within one year of start date.

The expected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 - $69,000.00 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
