Job Description

Job Summary: As the Assistant Manager - Sales in a confectionery company, you will be a key contributor to the company's sales efforts, playing a crucial role in achieving revenue targets and expanding market presence. You will support the Sales Manager in supervising the sales team, implementing sales strategies, and fostering strong relationships with clients. Your primary focus will be on driving sales growth, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective sales management and coordination.

Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Team Supervision: Assist the Sales Manager in managing the sales team, providing guidance, training, and motivation to achieve individual and team sales goals.

  2. Sales Strategy Implementation: Collaborate with the Sales Manager to develop and execute effective sales strategies to boost revenue, gain market share, and outperform competitors.

  3. Business Development: Identify potential clients, distributors, and retail partners to expand the company's customer base and distribution network.

  4. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.

  5. Sales Targets: Work with the Sales Manager to set challenging sales targets and monitor progress regularly to ensure achievement.

  6. Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for business growth and respond to emerging challenges.

  7. Sales Reporting: Prepare regular sales reports and performance analyses, providing insights to the Sales Manager and senior management.

  8. Sales Presentations: Assist in delivering persuasive sales presentations to potential clients, highlighting the company's product range and unique selling propositions.

  9. Pricing and Contract Negotiations: Collaborate with the Sales Manager and relevant departments to negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with clients and partners.

  10. Sales Training: Support the Sales Manager in organizing training sessions for the sales team to enhance their product knowledge, sales techniques, and communication skills.

  11. Trade Shows and Events: Participate in trade shows, industry events, and customer exhibitions to promote the company's products and generate leads.

  12. Budget Management: Assist in managing the sales department budget, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources to maximize sales results.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the confectionery or food industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to make informed decisions.
  • Results-driven and target-oriented approach.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools.
  • Willingness to travel for business purposes, as needed.
