Were looking for an Associate Account Director to join our rapidly growing team. The Associate Account Director plays a vital part in shaping our clients' success by driving account strategy, managing client relationships, and leading a team of talented individuals.

Your day-to-day

This role involves leading and driving client success across teams and can be broken down into 4 main sectors:

  • Account Strategy:
    • Youll oversee the marketing strategy, quantify new executions, and explore experimental initiatives across 2-3 pods.
    • You'll have a direct impact on department key performance indicators (KPIs) and possess a deep understanding of department financials, such as EBITDA, Employee Retention, Client Retention, and Client Growth.
    • You'll be a valuable resource, assisting across all agency accounts whenever needed and you'll tap into agency resources to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Client Relationship Management + Client Success:
    • Building strong relationships with our clients is crucial. You'll confidently establish rapport with senior points of contact, effectively address any issues that arise, and identify opportunities for larger partnerships.
    • You'll oversee the onboarding process for new agency clients, ensuring a smooth transition and setting up a structure for gathering client feedback.
    • Discussing changes in client scopes, pricing, and expected deliverables will be part of your role, and you'll navigate these conversations with ease and confidence.
  • Team Leadership:
    • As a manager, you'll oversee a team of 3+ full-time members and 2-3 pods, facilitating 1:1s, yearly reviews, training plans, and other people management processes.
    • You'll actively identify skill gaps and emerging skill needs within your team, and plan and coordinate training and development opportunities accordingly.
    • You'll play an active role in maintaining a positive work environment and fostering a strong team culture.
  • Business Knowledge + Operational Excellence:
    • You'll interpret data from various sources to identify business issues and opportunities impacting advertising efforts.
    • Your expertise will extend to discussing opportunities for multiple channel efforts, including both existing and new strategies and campaigns.
    • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and sentiment within the department will be part of your role.

Requirements

Experience: You have successful hands-on experience in account and people management, ideally in an agency environment. Your previous role(s) have equipped you with the knowledge and tactics to make things run smoothly and achieve success.

Education: Ideally, you hold a bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field, showcasing your foundational knowledge in the industry.

Strategic Thinking: You have demonstrable experience thinking strategically, identifying opportunities, and developing effective plans to achieve client objectives.

Leadership Skills: You have a track record of mentorship or management experience and possess strong leadership qualities. You lead by example, effectively manage and motivate teams, and contribute to a positive work environment.

Communication: Your communication skills are top-notch and youre able to communicate with senior stakeholders effectively and efficiently.

Time Management: You excel in time management, efficiently juggling multiple tasks and priorities without compromising quality.

Analytical Mindset: You're an analytical thinker with ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decision. You have experience deriving meaningful insights from various sources, such as Google Analytics or Shopify.

Project Management: You've worked with a project management system in a previous role, such as Asana, Wrike, Monday, or ClickUp (by the way, we use ClickUp at QRY!)

Industry Passion: The e-commerce, advertising, and agency space excite you. You're genuinely interested in these fields and eager to make an impact within them.

Creative Problem Solver: When challenges arise, you're ready to jump in and troubleshoot with creative solutions. You enjoy tackling problems head-on and finding innovative ways to overcome them.

Continuous Learner: You have a genuine passion for learning. You stay updated with the latest trends in digital advertising and marketing, always expanding your knowledge base.

Remote Work Environment: You understand the importance of a clean and quiet work environment suitable for video conferencing. You respect digital etiquette and ensure smooth virtual collaboration.
