Associate CPG Brand Manager needs 3 years of CPG experience or minimum of 5 yrs experience without MBA
Associate CPG Brand Manager requires:
- MBA and at least 3 years of CPG experience or minimum of 5 yrs experience without MBA
- Experience in Hair color is a must
- Experience in brand portfolio management would be great
- Ideally desire to come on full-time afterwards
- Proven track record of both analytical business mindset as well as driving brand equity and social purpose - Team player with positive can-do attitude and ambition to make a difference •
- Knowledge of category (major competitors, target users, industry trends) •
- Strong interpersonal/communication skills; solid analytical skills; strong financial orientation
- Ability to analyze research data and make decisions designed to generate incremental sales and profits • Knowledge of wide variety of specific promotion vehicles and vendors which may be usable in certain situations
- Demonstrated leadership and organization skills required •
- Proficiency with PC applications MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
- BS/BA (Business, Social Sciences - Psychology, Sociology, Economics) MBA preferred (5 years’ experience preferred if they do not have an MBA.)
- 3 years’ experience in consumer products marketing and/or sales.
Associate CPG Brand Manager duties:
- provide support with brand direction, development and execution of brand marketing programs.
- Assists with review of market research to anticipate competition and market trends and translate consumer attitudes into new branding directions.
- Assists with communication of brand strategies to Marketing Services, Sales, R&D and other departments.
- Ensures alignment of brand strategy with corporate marketing plan. Works with other departments to help develop advertising and promotional programs, pricing, positioning, and packaging.
- Assists in planning and coordination of product launch. Work is performed under direct supervision.
- Continuously monitor the performance of assigned brands using sales reports and research (IRI, Nielsen, MDSS) data. Apprise management of significant changes. Ensure current knowledge of the competitive environment via outside sources
