Location

Infleqtion has 6 office locations, operating out of Austin, TX; Boulder/Louisville, CO; Madison, WI; Chicago, IL; London, UK; and Melbourne, AU. This position is a full-time, hybrid position which will be located in our Austin, Texas office.

Position Summary

The Associate, Corporate Development will report to the Office of the CEO. The newly hired associate will be responsible for executing Corporate Development activities such as M&A, Capital Raise, Partnerships, and New Business Strategy.The ideal candidate is a flexible self-starter with experience working with senior executives.

Job Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities outlined below include essential functions of the role. Depending on business needs, this role may perform a combination of some or all of the following duties. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice,

  • New Business Development Strategy:
    • Research areas of interest and identify opportunities to create new business plans that help support Infleqtions go to market efforts
    • Create financial models & presentations for executives and the board to support new business plans
  • M&A, Investments & Partnerships:
    • Participate in all stages of the transaction process, including research / sourcing, structuring/valuation, due diligence, negotiation and integration
    • Partner with third party advisors such as accountants, tax experts, consultants and lawyers, as needed
    • Prepare presentations for internal investment committees, the board, and outside investors
    • Support financial modeling and analysis, including developing business projections and assessing capital structures
    • Assess long- and short-term risk, develop plans to mitigate risks
  • Capital Markets & Finance:
    • Participate in all stages of investor development and management including capital raising activities and investor relations
  • Other duties or projects as assigned

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Bachelors Degree in accounting, business, finance or other relevant degree program; MBA is preferred
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in high-impact Strategy Consulting, Investment Banking, Investing, and/or Corporate Development roles
  • Proven experience project managing internal and external stakeholders
  • Expert ability in creating compelling presentations
  • Strong ability in building financial models & analyzing data (e.g., Advanced Excel, SQL, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively build relationships and trust with internal and external stakeholders, both at junior and senior levels
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new and complex topics quickly; Passion for solving complex problems and challenges in a highly technical and scientific environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work comfortably in a highly collaborative, cross-functional, team-oriented, and matrixed environment
  • Desire and demonstrated ability to thrive and produce results in a fluid, dynamic, and fast-paced environment
  • Entrepreneurial drive, intellectual agility, and personal eagerness to develop with the needs of the business
  • Extremely high attention to detail; highly organized and capable of balancing multiple priorities
  • Self-starter - reliable, focused, with the ability to consistently meet goals and deadlines; excels under pressure and in growth environments
  • Startup mentality: smart, self-starter, proactive, and a can-do cross-functional team player
  • Strong ability to think both strategically and tactfully
  • Strong communication skills, can present information succinctly to executive-level stakeholders; Able to effectively share information with technical and non-technical staff
  • Strong digital acumen, ability to navigate technology and innovation
  • Expert-level proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and Powerpoint/Google Slides; Proficient in MS Office
  • Proficiency in collaboration tools (e.g., Google G-Suite, etc.)
  • Ability to travel domestically and (potentially) internationally up to 30%
  • This role requires that you do not require sponsorship or a work visa transfer

    This position may require access to information protected under U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Benefits

The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $120,000 per year and is a salaried position.
