The Role?

We are looking for an Associate Manager of Accounting for our Los Angeles office. This person will be responsible for accounts payable duties and be one of the main points of contact with our vendors and internal employees. This position reports to the accounting manager and will provide key support in building a sound financial structure to benefit the overall financial health of OUAI Haircare.

Requirements

What Youll Do:

Account Payables (70% of workload)

  • Process Manufacturing bills, by following the three-way match process.
  • Process logistics, and fulfillment bills, such as UPS billing.
  • Resolve billing issues, such as rate/ quantity variances with Manufacturers.
  • Reconcile manufacturer statements with the GL on a weekly basis.
  • Properly track freight in/out billing and collaborate with the Fulfillment team regarding variances on a weekly basis.
  • Resolve issues with freight in/out vendors, such as missing invoices, freight quotes not matching with final cost on the invoice, etc.
  • Assist in ensuring proper anti-fraud measures are followed.

Other (30% of workload)

  • Work on A/P analysis reporting.
  • Assist with month-end closing.
  • Assist in the yearly 1099 filing
  • Other ad hoc tasks requested by the accounting manager.

What Youll Bring:

  • 2+ years of Accounting experience (preferred experience in Logistic or Manufacturing)
  • Bachelors Degree required

  • Have a good understanding of basic accounting principles, such as debits and credits, financial statements, and journal entries.
  • Familiar with Enterprise Resource Planning such as NetSuite or (link removed) is a plus
  • Detail-oriented and have a high degree of accuracy when performing accounting tasks.
  • Able to adapt to changes in the company's accounting processes and procedures.
  • Comfortable working with vendors, communicating effectively with them, and building strong relationships.
  • Proactive and able to identify and solve accounting issues independently.
