The Associate Project Manager will garner hands on experience and training that will prepare them for a career in Project Management. They will support the full range of the project management life cycle. They will assist to schedule, coordinate, and facilitate appropriate project planning meetings; as well as prepare and maintain applicable project documentation, relevant to our Software Development Methodology.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the organization in the implementation of new projects.
  • Assist in scheduling and help in facilitating projects meetings. Capture meeting notes for timely distribution.
  • Assist in providing regular updates and reports to IT Management; including but not limited to project status updates.
  • Assist project teams in adhering to Agile Methodologies and practices.
  • Support project schedule, risks, issues, change management and development of project communications to reach project target dates. Act as back-up for the Customer Service team for payment calls
  • Coordinate and support project teams through research, testing, development and implementation phases.
  • Update and maintain Project and PMO documentation and other related project deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in business or a technical discipline supplemented by college level course work in Information Technology, Computer Science, or closely related technical field.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Interest in Project management techniques, tools and reports to acquire project management skills.
  • Understanding of Windows, Microsoft Office suite of products, current internet browsers, e-mail and business applications in a networked environment.
  • Ability to interface and communicate effectively with non-technical personnel, as well as professional Information Technology staff.
  • Property & Casualty Insurance experience desired but not required.
