Job Responsibilities




  • Function autonomously to conduct patient histories and physicals for complex critical, chronically ill, and acute patients.

  • Order, perform, and analyze diagnostic and therapeutic tests concerning the needs of the patient, and follow up on a regular basis to ensure their needs are being adequately met.

  • Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities to ensure the health and comfort of all patients.

  • Implement measures to assist patients in regaining and sustaining physiologic endurance to include serving in the first assisting role.

  • Develop treatment plans based on scientific rationale, standards of care, and professional practice guidelines.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals and monitoring the effectiveness of all interventions.

  • Facilitate the staff and the patient as well as the family decision-making process by providing educational tools for self-management of acute or chronic illnesses.

  • Job Skills & Qualifications



 



Required



 




  • Active and unrestricted state or Federal license

  • Certified by American Audiology Association

  • Works with American Speech Language Hearing Association guidelines

  • Knowledgeable of current VA Hearing aids

  • Familiar with ANSI standards of calibration

  • Familiar with the Privacy Act and HIPAA regulations

  • Full vaccinations and immunizations

  • Current physical from physician



 



Locums, Inc. is seeking an Audiologist for full-time services in the Billings, MT area for part–time services.  Assignment will be for 1 year with multiple year extensions possible.  Any valid state or Federal license acceptable.



 



About the Opportunity:



- Period of Performance is approx. 8/1/20 to 7/31/21 w/ 4-year options



- 4 to 8-hour shifts, 3 days per month. Optional days to be determined with facility. No weekends or Holiday shifts



- Provide direct diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology services to patients of all ages and provide comprehensive audiologic evaluations. Testing to include:



- Air & Bone Conducting Testing



- Otoacoustic Emission Testing



- Soundfield testing



- Play Audiometry



- Site-of-Lesion tests



-  Travel, Per Diem and Malpractice provided
