Job Summary: We are seeking Audiologists who are experts in providing services in the prevention, diagnosis, and evidenced-based treatment of hearing and balance disorders for people of all ages. Hearing and balance disorders are complex with medical, psychological, physical, social, educational, and employment implications. Our Audiologists must provide professional and personalized services to minimize the negative impact of these disorders, leading to improved outcomes and quality of life. Job Requirements: - Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Audiology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A).
- Successful completion of an approved Audiology residency training program.
- Active License.
- Current New York State Medical Practitioner License.
- Experience with ECG, Echo, Stress Testing.
- Bilingual (Spanish / English) is a plus but not a requirement.
Responsibilities include: - Examine patients who have hearing, balance, or related ear problems.
- Assess the results of the examination and diagnose problems.
- Determine and administer treatment to meet patients goals.
- Provide treatment for tinnitus, a condition that causes ringing in the ear.
- Fit and dispense hearing aids.
- Counsel patients and their families on ways to listen and communicate, such as lip reading or through technology.
- Evaluate patients regularly to check on hearing and balance and to continue or change treatment plans.
- Record patient progress
- Research the causes and treatment of hearing and balance disorders.
- Educate patients on ways to prevent hearing loss.
