A CPA Firm based in New York, is seeking the expertise of a talented and experienced Audit manager for a full-time position at their firm.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring that all communication is professional, timely, and effective.
  • Review and analyze financial statements and audit findings to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions.
  • Create and manage audit plans and schedules, ensuring that all work is completed within deadlines.
  • Lead audits, including preparing audit reports, identifying and communicating audit findings to clients, and ensuring that all work is completed in compliance with auditing standards.
  • Coach and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and feedback to support their professional development.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new developments in auditing standards to ensure that all work is completed in compliance with the latest regulations.
  • Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of clients' businesses, including their goals, objectives, and operations, in order to provide effective and accurate audit services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • CPA or CIA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of audit experience with a public accounting firm or private industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of auditing standards, as well as knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present findings and recommendations to clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to lead audits, manage client relationships, and coach and mentor junior staff.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and recommend solutions to complex problems.
