Rea & Associates is looking for an experienced Audit Supervisor to join our team in Dublin, Ohio(link removed) This is an exciting opportunity to succeed and support the firms cornerstones, Our People, Our Clients, Our Growth, and Our Firm while exhibiting the following: Ability to understand the rules, regulations, and code of professional conduct of the AICPA. Progress professionally by working toward passing the CPA exam. If assigned primarily to audit engagements: Familiar with pronouncements of the FASB and the AICPA. Proficient at preparing financial statements. Obtain exposure to the various types of financial statement engagements. Assume responsibility for unaudited financial statement engagements or segments of audits under the supervision of more experienced staff.


Responsibilities

  • Analyzing complex financial reports and records
  • Making recommendations based on analysis and status of reserves, assets and expenditures
  • Reviewing journal entries of associates to ensure accuracy
  • Training and mentoring junior staff
  • Performing variance analyses and preparing account
  • Assisting with financial and tax audits
  • Assume responsibility for the completion of tax returns
  • Obtain a general understanding of pertinent IRC sections and regulations
  • Obtain a working knowledge of tax research techniques and the various tax research sources
  • Proactively maintains and develops client relationships throughout the year.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
  • 3+ years experience working in public accounting
  • Must have CPA
  • Advanced communication (verbal and written), organization, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently on tasks and projects; while also collaborating with peers in a team-oriented environment
  • Advanced knowledge of general accounting concepts
  • Advanced understanding of complex tax concepts and application to client situations
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with advanced skills in Word and Excel
  • Ability to independently identify issues relating to accounting and tax matters
  • Strong project management skills.
