Phoenix Home Care & Hospice is seeking a data entry specialist to work in our Springfield Insurance and Admissions team.

The specialist will work closely with the Healthcare Billing and Operation Teams to ensure patient profile, demographics and authorizations are obtained, maintained, and entered in our system with the highest quality in a timely manner.

Position Responsibilities:
- Enter new patient profile, or maintain demographics on existing patients in the database.
- Coordinate the authorization needs for current and upcoming patients
- Submit authorization request to payers
- Enter and maintain authorization information
- Track and follow up on pending authorization request
- Manage authorization reports
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Strong computer profieciency
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Experience with Submitting Insurance Authorizations strongly preferred
- Data Entry Experience
- Must be self-motivated
- Must have past customer service experience
- Previous experience working in an office/professional setting.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Ability to multitask and stay organized
- Be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers
- Previous experience working with Home Health authorization or billing is preferred but not required
