The focus of this practice is on non-surgical pain relief in adult and elder patients.
The duties of the AAPRN include but are not limited to the diagnosing and treatment of actual or potential patient health problems related primarily to pain complaints, through health history evaluation, physical examination, health counseling, provision of care and treatment supportive to or restorative of health and well-being. Build upon an existing medical department within a privately owned clinic to support the primary focus of the practice.
Evaluate patients, determine a plan of care, and deliver treatment which may include any combination of the following:
- Trigger point injections
- Joint aspiration and/or injections, including Hyaluronic Acid, Platelet Rich Plasma and Ortho-Biologic Therapies (as allowed by FDA). (training available)
- Electroanalgesia (Nerve Root Sedation without injection) application and treatment (training provided)
- Deep Tissue Laser Therapy (training provided)
- Carrying out Fluoroscopy and Arthrograms as needed for procedures (training available)
- Review patient medical history, including PCP notes X-rays and other lab reports
- Venipuncture including IV starts
- IV Functional Medicine
- Incision and drainage of abscesses, some wound care
- Prescribing medications as needed
- New therapies as agreed to and covered under scope of practice

Sample of existing programs: Balance Testing/Peripheral Neuropathy Protocol, Hyaluronic Acid Injections (Knee), Platelet-Rich Plasma injections (knee, shoulder, hip, foot etc), Immune Boost Infusion IV.
Mix of Medicare/Insurance and cash business.
Requirements
- Must hold valid Autonomous Medical License in the state of Florida.
- Must have liability insurance coverage as required in Florida.
- Must acquire a Business Tax License to practice in the City of Clearwater.
- Well organized in prepping for patients and notating procedures etc.
- Making diagnosis from health history, imaging and physical exam.
- Some years of semi-autonomy regarding patient management.
- Prefer five + years experience as an NP, but don't let this stop you!
- Prefer experience doing Fluoroscopy guided injections.

Compensation is competitive (within the top 75 percentile based on Florida salary data) and will be negotiated based on experience.
