We have an immediate need for an Azure Cloud Engineer to join a healthcare company in Phoenix, AZ for a contract-to-hire position that is hybrid. The Azure Cloud Engineer will support an urgent project to set up UAT & production environments for web applications in Azure Cloud.  

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid, 3 days remote)

This job expects to pay about $55-75/HR

What You Will Do:

• Design, implement, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure solutions according to best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable and reliable cloud solutions.
• Deploy and manage virtual machines, containers, and serverless architectures on Azure.
• Configure and optimize Azure networking components such as virtual networks, subnets, load balancers, and VPN gateways.
• Implement security measures to protect Azure resources and data, including IAM policies, encryption, and network security groups. Create key vaults, set up security, etc.
• Monitor Azure services for performance, availability, and cost optimization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Azure infrastructure and applications.
• Automate deployment and management tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or ARM templates.
• Document architecture designs, configurations, and procedures for knowledge sharing and compliance purposes.

What Gets You The Job: 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience designing, implementing, and managing Azure cloud solutions.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
• Proficiency in Azure services such as Azure VMs, Azure App Service, Azure Storage, Azure SQL Database, Azure Functions, etc.
• Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines, version control, and release management.
• Experiene with monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics)
• Knowledge of networking principles and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and firewalls, WAF, vNets, private/public endpoints.
• Familiarity with security best practices and compliance standards such as ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.
