Position Summary

As an Azure DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the DevOps pipeline and infrastructure in Microsoft Azure cloud environment. You will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of software applications, systems, and services. You will also be responsible for automating and streamlining the development, testing, and deployment processes, as well as ensuring the security, scalability, and performance of the Azure-based DevOps environment. This is a Phoenix-based Hybrid position.

Requirements

What We Want You to Do

  • Design and implement a robust and scalable DevOps pipeline using Azure DevOps, including source control, build and release automation, continuous integration/delivery, and automated testing.
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand their requirements and provide guidance on best practices for implementing DevOps processes in Azure.
  • Automate manual and repetitive tasks using scripting languages, PowerShell, or other automation tools to improve efficiency and reduce errors in the software delivery process.
  • Implement and manage Azure infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as ARM templates, Azure Resource Manager, or Terraform, ensuring that the infrastructure is scalable, secure, and follows industry best practices.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance and availability of Azure-based DevOps tools and services, such as Azure DevOps, Azure Boards, Azure Pipelines, and Azure Artifacts.
  • Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain security controls and best practices in the Azure DevOps environment, including identity and access management, network security, and data protection.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure seamless integration of DevOps processes with production environments, including deployment, configuration management, and monitoring of production systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure DevOps tools, technologies, and best practices, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement of the DevOps pipeline and infrastructure.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and achieve project goals.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong experience in designing, implementing, and managing DevOps processes and tools in Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including experience with disaster recovery (DR) planning and implementation.
  • Strong proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting languages for automating DR processes and ensuring business continuity.
  • Solid understanding of Azure infrastructure services, such as Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage Accounts, and Azure Active Directory.
  • Experience with implementing and managing Azure DevOps tools and services, such as Azure Boards, Azure Pipelines, Azure Artifacts, and Azure Repos.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices, such as Agile, Scrum, and CI/CD.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) concepts and tools, such as ARM templates, Azure Resource Manager, or Terraform.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, are highly desirable.
