A key member of the Albireo team, the BMS Field Programming Specialist independently achieves:

• Start up, testing, system diagnostics, and commissioning from system-level controllers to end devices.
• Point to point check out's to verify that controls systems have been installed properly.
• Execution of HVAC Building Automation projects
• Troubleshooting of HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems.
• Project and service documentation.
• Customer satisfaction through direct, on site, customer interface.

Requirements

An Ideal Candidate Will Have Experience In:

• Start up, checking, testing, system diagnostics and commissioning from system-level controllers to end devices for small to medium sized projects.
• Executing HVAC Building Automation projects.
• Loading and updating software on network controllers, field controllers, computers and servers.
• Preventative and predictive maintenance service to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnosing and repairing controls systems and components.
• Diagnosing and replacing control systems and components.
• Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues related to the operation of BAS Control systems.
• Writing, creating, loading, testing and commissioning programming software and graphics utilizing various programming languages and software.
• Independently executing assigned work efficiently and professionally.
• Exemplary customer communication.
• Training customers in control systems operations and providing training certificates.
• Organizing and creating Job documentation such as commissioning documentation, punch lists, etc.
• Marking controls submittals to capture field changes and discrepancies for engineering to create As-Builts.
• Interfacing with service manager, service project manager or subcontractors on projects.
• Timely reporting of issues.
• Assisting sales by providing technical recommendations.
• Maintaining and developing skills, techniques, and industry knowledge.
• Completing certifications.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in programming and commissioning Building Automation Systems.
• At least 4 years of experience in servicing electronic controls and HVAC equipment.
• Graduated from a vocational program or have an associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or related fields.
  • Degree may be offset by two years of experience in servicing electronic and or mechanical systems.
• Experience with Niagara, Tridium, Alerton, or similar
• Valid Drivers license
• Ability to travel to project sites as required.
  • Travel will infrequently exceed a 45 commute
