Job DescriptionIntroduction IBM Z is the world s most powerful business platform. 68% of enterprise production workloads, 80% of structured enterprise data, and 55% of all enterprise transactions, including more than 50% of the back-end transactions generated from mobile enterprise applications run on IBM Z. Your Role and Responsibilities The Position
The IBM Z Enterprise Products team is seeking Level2 Customer Support reps with
experience in the z/OS Operating System and products that run under z/OS. You will take technical ownership of client problem reports, analyse problem.
documentation, review source code and client configuration details to determine the
root cause of the problems. You will work closely with the Level3 and Development
teams in providing code updates, configuration changes runtime parameters to resolve.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise - 5+ years of professional experience working in a z/OS environment as a software systems engineer, client support rep or application developer
- End user experience in one or more of the following z/OS Products
- ALCS ( knowledge of IBM s TPF a big plus )
- REXX
- GDDM
- SDF II
- DITTO ESA
- FORTRAN Compiler
- PASCAL Compiler
- BASIC Interpreter
- z/OS basics
TSO, JCL, ISPF, ( IPCS and dump reading skills a big plus ) - Languages Assembler, C/C++ LE version, Java
- z/OS assembler macros
- Communications VTAM, SNA, 3270, TCP/IP, MQ, WAS
- Datasets sequential, VSAM
