Backend Java developers are responsible for creating and maintaining the server-side components of web applications. They use Java and other programming languages to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and robust backend systems.
Responsibilities: - Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining server-side components of web applications using Java and related technologies.
- Design and develop enterprise-level software applications using the Spring Framework.
- Participate in the entire software development life cycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and post-deployment support.
- Working with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using industry-standard coding practices.
- Collaborating with front-end developers to integrate server-side logic with the UI.
- Developing and maintaining RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between the server-side and client-side components of the application.
- Ensuring the performance, scalability, and security of the backend systems.
- Implementing data storage and retrieval solutions using databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra.
- Deploying applications to cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues in production environments.
- Maintaining code quality and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Continuously learning and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in backend development.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in developing software using the Spring Framework.
- Strong experience in Java programming.
- Experience with web-based application development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with database development using SQL.
- Understanding of software development life cycle methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Experience with DevOps practices, such as continuous integration and deployment, is a plus.
To be a successful Backend Java Developer, one should have a strong understanding of Java and related technologies, as well as experience with RESTful API development, database design and management, and cloud computing.
