Backend Java developers are responsible for creating and maintaining the server-side components of web applications. They use Java and other programming languages to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and robust backend systems.

Responsibilities:

1. Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining server-side components of web applications using Java and related technologies.
2. Design and develop enterprise-level software applications using the Spring Framework.
3. Participate in the entire software development life cycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and post-deployment support.
4. Working with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs.
5. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using industry-standard coding practices.
6. Collaborating with front-end developers to integrate server-side logic with the UI.
7. Developing and maintaining RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between the server-side and client-side components of the application.
8. Ensuring the performance, scalability, and security of the backend systems.
9. Implementing data storage and retrieval solutions using databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra.
10. Deploying applications to cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
11. Troubleshooting and resolving issues in production environments.
12. Maintaining code quality and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
13. Continuously learning and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in backend development.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in developing software using the Spring Framework.
• Strong experience in Java programming.
• Experience with web-based application development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with database development using SQL.
• Understanding of software development life cycle methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Experience with DevOps practices, such as continuous integration and deployment, is a plus.

To be a successful Backend Java Developer, one should have a strong understanding of Java and related technologies, as well as experience with RESTful API development, database design and management, and cloud computing.
