The Ocean Casino Resort, located on the iconic Atlantic City Boardwalk, is seeking a Banquet Chef to join our team of enthusiastic and innovative culinary professionals. Our renowned resort boasts an award-winning hotel, exceptional live entertainment, various dining options, and an electrifying casino floor. As Banquet Chef, you will oversee all aspects of our banquet catering including menu design, food preparation, and staff management. Your passion for culinary excellence and commitment to providing exceptional service to our guests will make you a vital member of our team. Responsibilities - Create and develop banquet menus based on the needs of clients
- Manage all aspects of food preparation, presentation, and delivery for banquets
- Ensure food quality and presentation meets Ocean Casino Resort standards
- Manage and train kitchen staff for banquets
- Excel in a fast-paced working environment while maintaining an emphasis on quality
- Maintain inventory of food and supplies, identify and order new items as necessary
- Ensure all health and safety guidelines are followed in the kitchen and during banquets
Requirements - Minimum 5 years of experience as a Banquet Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or related qualification
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with banquet staff and other chefs
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to maintain high quality and speed of food production
- Creative and proficient in developing menus and designing plate presentations
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours if necessary
