This is an on-site position located in ST Albans, Vermont, with no remote opportunity and no C2C.

As the initial step in our cheesemaking process, Process Operators hold a vital position in ensuring the production of premium cheese products. Operating in a fast-paced environment, they demonstrate outstanding prioritization skills while upholding the highest standards of quality, even when dealing with high-volume production.

Several shifts to choose from
Pay $20 - $26 based on experience and shift.
Weekly Pay
Growth and possible pay increases after 90 days.

Responsibilities:
Operation of Equipment:

Operate and monitor production equipment and machinery to ensure they function properly.
Batch Production:

Prepare and execute batch production processes according to specifications and recipes.
Quality Control:

Conduct quality checks on raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods to ensure they meet quality standards.
Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate records of production processes, including batch records, process parameters, and quality control data.
Safety Compliance:

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Troubleshooting:

Identify and address issues with equipment or processes, troubleshooting problems to minimize downtime.
Process Optimization:

Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize production processes for efficiency and quality.
Cleaning and Maintenance:

Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks on equipment to prevent issues and ensure longevity.
Material Handling:

Handle and manage raw materials, including measuring, weighing, and adding materials to production batches.
Process Monitoring:

Continuously monitor and adjust process parameters to maintain product consistency and quality.
Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with other operators, technicians, and team members to ensure smooth production operations.
Training:

Stay updated on new equipment, technologies, and production processes through training sessions.
Adherence to Procedures:

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to maintain consistency and compliance.
Environmental Awareness:

Follow environmental regulations and guidelines related to production processes.

Batch Maker Required Skills/Abilities:

Manufacturing batch making, or Diary Manufacturing experience preferred.
Great attention to detail
Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Ability to lift over 50lbs on a regular basis.


Batch Maker Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Efficiently operates necessary equipment to measure and mix materials.
Verify receipt, butterfat %, and weight of cream, milk and cream cheese mix.
Add ingredients necessary to formula provide on the computer.
Perform Babcock Test and T.A. (titratable acidity) test.
Blend, Pasteurize, Homogenizer, Acidify, pH and pack all Cream Cheese products.
Keep up all records for batching.
Maintain inventory of ingredients and packing for products.
Keep a clean and organized work area.
Change homogenizer seals and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
Follow all safety regulations and guidelines


Batch Maker Physical Requirements:

Frequently moving items weighing up to 55 pounds across the Batch and Warehouse
area.
Constant moving throughout the facility and sometimes on wet floor in the Batch area.
Must be able to push up to 70 pounds.
Visual acuity to read and follow instructions as well as inspect product.
