JOB DESCRIPTION

The Batch Operator is responsible for working closely with the Procurement Manager and Plant Manager to manage packaging components and raw ingredients. The Batch Operator also ensures that the material warehouse is organized, clean and within compliance with safety procedures. Batch Operators receive inventory items, verify them based on Open Purchase Orders and accurately receive items into Quickbooks. Batch Operators are also responsible for pulling, batching and weighing raw ingredients and materials following proper cGMP practices within a clean room environment. The Batch Operator is expected to provide feedback and input to help further improve the storage, receiving, shipping and picking process, helping to exceed quality standards. The Batch Operator will be expected to excel in multiple disciplines and display a positive attitude while completing tasks.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Complies with all company policies and procedures;
• Inspect all documents and materials from external suppliers upon receipt;
• Prepare sample items/packs for laboratory analysis;
• Examine all ingredients and materials throughout all processes for defects;
• Fill work orders in a timely manner;
• Maintain inventory management of the sub-inventory;
• Prepares shipments for pick-ups and returns;
• Perform packaging, handling, transportation and other related shipping duties;
• Must be able to follow verbal and written directions;
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time;
• Receive, batch, maintain, record, and ship all raw ingredients and packaging materials according to company guidelines with complete accuracy;
• Clean surfaces, equipment, and all work areas;
• Identify and report any equipment, material, and mechanical issues to Management;
• Perform other related duties as assigned by Management;
• Work well with others in a team based environment.

Requirements:

• 1 years+ of shipping and receiving experience
• 1 years+ of forklift experience (Crown Stand-Up Forklift)
• 1 year+ inventory control experience
• Basic math skills (ex: able to convert pounds to kilos and kilos to grams)
• High School Diploma or GED;

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.;
• Must be able to follow verbal and written directions;
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time;
